I have owned this jacket for at least 20 years and only needed to buy a new one because I out grew my old one. The jacket I received seems to be the exact same as my old version but has a few extra snaps on the rain flap to keep it in place. I have gotten a ton of use out of this jacket and it is super tough. My old one has spent entire seasons on a wet boat and the snaps have not rusted at all. This is a great jacket for fishing or standing in the rain. It is fairly stiff so the edges of the hood, sleeves and bottom sort of stand off your body and the rain drips off of them. This would not be a good active jacket. It has no cuffs so if you reach up and grab something wet water will run down your arm.Mine fit as expected but I believe this jacket is not meant to be form fitting, so some might consider it's fit a little large. It does not "breathe" but its loose fit keeps condensation from building up.This would not be a great jacket for active wear. It is not light. It is heavy duty. It will not stuff into its own pocket. It does not even have pockets. It won't fit into any pocket, but your could almost stand it up by itself in the corner to dry.I have always used HH for my shop. I have rain jackets & bibs for myself and all employees. I decided to replace mine. I received it today. I tried it on, undid the snaps and three, yes THREE of them ripped out from the rubber. They used to have reinforcements where the snaps went in. Not anymore! Made in China. Go figure. I'll try another, but if that one pulls out too, I will do Carhartt.
